What I've found

Over the past year I got rid of all of my extra furniture and accessories, I didn't buy too much, only things that I could use for myself, and tried to be very selective with anything I bought. Now I find myself falling back into my old habits. For the past 2 weeks I've been out buying more with Dona. What the heck am I doing?

I guess I'll have to redecorate again.

I found this hand made table cloth, I think it is so beautiful, I couldn't bear to hide it in a drawer. I know that most people would put it on the table, I would if I knew that it would stay clean.

I found this drop leaf table a while ago, and I continue to change the display.

With the addition of new candle holders from this weekend.

Look at that odd globe. This is another find from this weekend.

You'll never guess what this is. It is an antique children's tool bench - or at least that was what I was told.

As with much of the furniture that I find, I had to clean off years of dirt and grime, but what's left is a beautiful patina.

Also with much of my findings, I try to repurpose them to fit today's lifestyle and decorating style. The size of this table is perfect as a side table or even coffee table. The larger workbenches are being used as consoles, bars, or kitchen islands. They also go for a small fortune. I don't have plans on selling mine at the moment, but I do have to make a decision about what to do with the extra furnitre that I have accumulated and culled from rearranging and redecorating. I'm torn between getting back into to buying and selling or not. I'm going to ponder over that for the next month as I continue my spring cleaning.

But in the meantime, I will be checking Craigslist and the newspaper for sales for this weekend.
