Just like old times

It did feel like old times last weekend. Oh, it feels sooo good to be back outside working in the yard, digging in the dirt. Dona and I went out yardsaling on Saturday and between the both of us we got a full load of finds. The SUV was packed to the top. It was so much fun. We always have a good time when we go out. We even had fun the weekend before when we went out and I came home with 5 free candles and she came home with only a handful of miscellaneous items.

I'm getting ready for the summer back yard bar-b-q's. I found this Thermaster Refrigerator, complete with accessory box, and I thought how cute it would be to fill this with ice to keep the beer nice and cold. Hubby doesn't have the same vision that I do.

I'm not sure if this jug was made for a purpose or just for decorative purposes only. I'll see if I can find out any history on it. I just liked it.

This old dirty dusty 3 drawer side table was in a garage and I knew exactly where it was going to go. I've been trying different side tables that I had next to my new chair and nothing was feeling "right". When I saw this table I knew I found what I needed. And it has 3 drawers to boot. I don't know about you, but I am always looking for storage options. I always seem to fill up an empty drawer.

I found some concrete planters for my garden area.

I found even more wonderful finds this weekend. Those will have to wait. After clearing out my house last year of extra finds, I feel I'm beginning to getting filled up again. I think a sale is in my future. I need to pair down again. That too will have to wait for another day. I'll keep you posted.

But it's so hard not to collect stuff you love, right?

I love treasures, too -- and that file cabinet IS perfect with your beautiful chair!

Hey Connie - how's it going? I stopped by Dona's place earlier, and saw you two girls out "saling" again so I had to come by and throw a big ole "howdy" on ya!

Hope you and yours are well and enjoying this lovely spring weather (well, actually we're in the 90's already...that's just Texas) Nice concrete planters - already aged and a bit chippy - I wish you were closer - I'd love to come to one of your sales!

You did good on your little side table - it's absolutely perfect!
